The study estimates that in 2020- 21, 77 lakh (7.7 million) Delivery Riders in India and is expected to expand to 2.35 crore (23.5 million) by 2029-30.(NITI AYOG).

Till date our society not accepting them because they are delivery riders.
They are out of government Grants and CSR activity, they are also deprived, they also want help.
70% of the delivery Riders in India are in the age group of 18 to 30. It is a matter of concern that 70% of the youth are working as delivery Riders, where there is no job security and even after years of work, they can not save anything for themselves. Unfortunately, there is no rule or law for delivery Riders jobs in India.

WORKING HOURS
Every Delivery Riders daily work 15-16 hours or more because of Financial Trouble in their Family.
How they race against numerous odds to not only deliver your food packages on time, but also save their earnings from penalties and keep themselves safe on the road.
NO WORK, NO PAY
There is no story of a season, climate or situation. They get paid only if they do deliveries. Delivery Riders jobs in India would not have leaves, week offs etc. However they get bonuses if they work on festival days.
NOT REGULAR EMPLOYEE
The delivery Riders are not treated as regular employees. They won’t get any benefits from the company like other regular employees. On top of everything their life also is at greater risk as they have to ride fast to deliver the food on time.
BONUS & PENALTY
Swiggy and Zomato do not have a uniform payment structure for all the riders. The bonuses and incentive points differ too.
Upto 25 per cent of delivery executives’ weekly earnings constitute fuel allowance.
The company imposes a penalty if the delivery rider does not work for the specified number of hours like 8-10 PM or 12-3 PM.
Even if you cancel more than one order for emergency like bike break down, the company imposes a penalty for the whole day.
KEEP SECRET
Most of Delivery Rider Keep Secret Their Work From Neighbor & Society because if they know work they critisize and not given respect his family in society.
DISRESPECT OR MISBEHAVES
We already know this; most of us do not behave with them nicely. We treat courier boys like our household servants.
Many of us also scold them if they arrive late, no matter how the weather is or how much traffic is outside.
THREAT OF ACCIDENT
Despite being overworked and tired, food delivery executives speed through busy urban areas on two-wheelers to complete orders on time. Meeting with accidents is simply a professional hazard.
Accidents are bound to happen. On most days, riders are toiling for 15-16 hours a day.
CHALLENGES FACED WHILE DELIVERY PARCEL
- No any shelter for avoid rain and sun.
- No any sitting arrangements for rest.
- Some restaurants asked water and sitting arrangements for order waiting. But some restaurants said stand outside for waiting.
- Some restaurants prefer their table customers. So they given late orders to delivery boys.
- Mobile charging.
- Sometimes customer not given proper navigation.
- Sometimes customer not pickup phones for address conforming.
- When restaurant item not available, that time half hour wasting for order modified or cancelled.
- Societies not allowed delivery boys bike in their societies. So park bikes on main road.
- Some societies not allowed their main lifts. Use separate lift, so waiting for lift.
- Some customers call and demand purchase cigarettes or other items.
